Too right. Just sad that the general Australian public probably have no idea about the Cambridge Analytica scandal. So they’ll just see a feel good ad on TV about Facebook and think “oh aren’t they great?”.

I don’t know if the general public even know that Facebook, Messenger, Instagram & WhatsApp are all owned by the same company. Am I just too cynical about the average Aussie? This could be due to the make up of my friends on my Facebook news feed.

My Twitter feed, which consists of none of my Facebook friends seems so much more intelligent and in tune with the important news of the day. Facebook pages I follow of news organisations provide much more of my news than what my Facebook friends are sharing. Maybe this says more about me than anything.
